He was born in Lambley, Nottinghamshire.
He Married Mary Beardall 11 July 1826 in Woodborough Notts
Then Remarried 15 June 1840 in Alfreton, Derbyshire to Eliza Goodwin.
It was the Marriage to Mary Beardall that he had Phillip Scothern
